Rocky Balboa goes to the boxing ring with his friend Apollo Creed to see him fight Russian boxer Ivan Drago. Unfortunately, Drago kills Creed in their match because he is too strong for him. Balboa is determined to defeat Drago in a boxing battle since he believes he is to blame for Creed's death. With the assistance of Duke, Creed's previous manager, he goes to the USSR to fight Drago.
