In this enormously popular follow-up, Sylvester Stallone revisits the role that first brought him fame. The Italian Stallion, whose image appears on pinball machines and is so well-known, is the starting point of Rocky III. Due of his arrogance and fame, Balboa eventually loses his title to young thug Clubber Lang (Mr. T), who unintentionally kills Rocky's cherished trainer Mickey (Burgess Meredith) prior to their first championship match. Balboa, who had fallen into a deep despair, needs to get his family back, as well as the elusive "eye of the tiger," or the ravenous urge to defeat the opponent that former opponent Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) teaches him during this movie's training scene. Ultimately, Balboa and Lang square off once more.
