After the events of "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the plot continues with Daniel Radcliffe's Harry Potter, Robert Grint's Ron Weasley, and Emma Watson's Hermione Granger searching for and destroying the last few Horcruxes, which are artifacts that hold fragments of Lord Voldemort's soul.
