Harry is having another rough summer with the Dursleys at the start of the novel, but things quickly take a turn for the worst when he inflates his Aunt Marge by mistake and resolves to go. As Harry flees, he learns that the wizarding prison of Azkaban has been breached by the deadly prisoner Sirius Black (Gary Oldman), who is rumored to be after him.
