Daniel Radcliffe's character Harry Potter, an orphan who finds out he is a wizard and has been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry on his eleventh birthday, is the main character of the narrative. He learns that he is well-known in the wizarding community for having withstood an attack as a child by the evil wizard Lord Voldemort, leaving him with a scar in the shape of lightning on his forehead.
