Carl Fredricksen's childhood dream was to travel throughout South America and locate the ill-fated Paradise Falls. After about 64 years, he gets to start his adventure with Boy Scout Russell by using thousands of balloons to elevate his house. Along the way, they meet a lot of new people, including a talking dog, and discover that someone is plotting evil. Carl quickly discovers that this villain is his childhood hero.
