After his sister Hela, the goddess of death, is let loose on Asgard, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself imprisoned on the far-off planet Sakaar. Thor has to stop Hela from carrying out her evil intentions so that she cannot rule and conquer Asgard. Thor teams up in an uncomfortable partnership with fellow Avenger and world gladiator champion Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in order to flee Sakaar and rescue Asgard.
