Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis as Mr. and Mrs. Little, who choose to adopt a younger sibling for their son George (Jonathan Lipnicki), set the stage for the plot. They are shocked to learn that they wind up adopting Stuart, a little mouse with human-like traits, who is voiced by Michael J. Fox. Stuart's brilliance, friendliness, and determination rapidly win the family over, even though George is first apprehensive about having a mouse for a sibling.
