The world's richest youngster, Macaulay Culkin's Richie Rich, is the subject of the movie, which chronicles his exploits. Richie feels lonely despite his enormous wealth and longs for people who value him more for who he is than what he owns. Richie inherits the family fortune after his parents, Regina (Christine Ebersole) and Richard (Edward Herrmann), disappear in a plane crash. He then has to deal with a cunning CEO named Lawrence Van Dough (John Larroquette).
