At the start of the movie, Charlize Theron plays Queen Ravenna, who marries King Magnus (Noah Huntley) and then betrays him on their wedding night. Ravenna is a wicked witch who craves both power and perpetual youth. She seizes control of the kingdom and locks Snow White, Magnus' daughter, up in a tower after killing him.
