Aladdin, a "diamond in the rough" street rat who lives in the made-up city of Agrabah, is the focus of the film. When he discovers a mystical lamp with a genie within, his life takes an amazing turn. Aladdin sets out on a quest to win Princess Jasmine's heart and foil the malicious schemes of the power-hungry vizier Jafar with the aid of the genie, who can grant three wishes.
