The story is set in the mythical Arabian city of Agrabah and follows a teenage street robber named Aladdin. Aladdin stumbles upon a magic lamp one day that contains a genie capable of fulfilling three wishes for the owner. Aladdin uses the genie's assistance to change into Prince Ali Ababwa in order to capture Princess Jasmine's affections. Princess Jasmine is kept within the palace by her father.
