The movie tells the tale of Peter Parker, a high school student who, after getting bitten by a genetically altered spider, has spider-like abilities. After accepting his new abilities, Peter chooses to turn them into a positive force by taking on the superhero character of Spider-Man. In the meantime, following a botched military experiment, billionaire businessman Norman Osborn assumes the persona of the Green Goblin.
