Greetings from a world where time is the most valuable resource. The caveat is that, unless you can pay your way out of it, you are genetically programmed to live only one more year once you stop aging at 25. Rich people "earn" for decades at a period (they stop at age 25), making them practically immortal, while the remainder must rely on loans, begs, or thefts to get by each day. A man from the impoverished neighborhood is forced to flee with a stunning captive after he is wrongfully suspected of murder. Living day to day, the couple's love turns into an effective weapon in their struggle against the system.
